Nigel Havers welcomes sellers of collectibles and curiosities to the Bidding Room's home in Edinburgh, where they ply their wares to five dealers. Saddling up on the room's starting line is Sandy, with a rustic relic that's been entertaining her family for generations. The vintage rocking horse, bought when Sandy was just a child, is now in danger of being put out to pasture, i e the skip, unless one of the dealers can offer a respite with some suitable bids. Next to roll through the doors is Jonathan. He's ready to get the dealers firing on all cylinders with a motorbike that's been unused for the best part of a year. With no ambitions of getting into the saddle, Jonathan wants to trade in his two wheels for a vintage camper van. Third into Edinburgh HQ is Tom with a vintage apple press. Bought at an antiques fair in France, the press has served its purpose as a decorative item in Tom's home, but he's ready now to move it on and is hoping to squeeze some juicy bids out of the dealers. Fourth to arrive is Tracey with a fruit bowl. Bought at a car boot sale, a tell-tale trademark is enough to transform the simple wooden bowl into a collector's item amongst Robert "Mouseman" Thompson fans. Will the dealers be amongst those who want to scurry around for it? Finally, it's Bidding Room regular Matt. He's got a track record for selling medical curiosities to both Ian and James, and this time it's eyeballs that he's brought for them to dissect. Matt's hoping the dealers will see eye to eye with Simon's expert valuation to give him the money he's looking for. The dealers today are Ian, Melissa, Sam, Jo and James.
